SHOAL CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH
OF LOCUST GROVE, GA
OUR PASTOR & FIRST LADY
PASTOR MICHAEL & FIRST LADY SHEILA PRICE
Michael T. Price was born and raised in McDonough and Locust Grove, Ga. He is the oldest of his siblings. He is a 1988 graduate of Henry County Senior High School in McDonough, Ga. Not long after graduating Pastor Price felt the call of God to preach the gospel. He left the life he lived for Satan and decided to make Jesus his choice!

In 2004, Michael T. Price was called as pastor of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. However, Pastor Price was not new to the congregation. As a teenager, Pastor Price was a member of the Gospel Ensemble, and he served in the Youth Ushers Ministry. Pastor Price has been on a mission to teach and preach the gospel of Christ, to lead the lost to Christ, to help individuals develop a personal relationship with Christ, and to help individuals become active in the ministry of Christ.

Pastor Price preached his first public sermon on December 27, 1992, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Griffin, Ga., at the age of 22. Over the years, Pastor Price has ministered to many throughout the southeastern United States: revivals, church and pastor anniversaries, banquets, weddings, ministries anniversaries, and other settings that needed a word from God.

At age 23, Pastor Price was called to his first church, Pine Chapel Baptist Church in Zebulon, Ga., where he served from 1994 until 1998. He was called to his second church in 1998, Bethlehem Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Ga., where he served as pastor until 2003. In October 2004, Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Ga., called him as her pastor. Pastor Price has the distinction of being the longest serving pastor in the church’s history.

Pastor Price received some of his biblical training at Boyce Bible College, including Black Baptist History, Sermon Preparation and Delivery, Old and New Testaments Survey, and How to Study the Bible. He furthered his education at Atlanta Bible College where his coursework included Systematic Theology, World Religions, and Sermon Preparation and Delivery.

Shoal Creek Baptist Church's First Lady Sheila Price is a native of Ellenwood, Ga. She is an administrator in DeKalb County Schools. First Lady Price is the president of the Women’s Ministry at Shoal Creek. She also works with a number of other ministries in the church. Pastor and First Lady Price have four adult children, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
Pastor Price’s greatest desire is not to just build buildings or to be able to balance budgets but to see sinners saved.
